چکیده
The purpose of this study is investigating the chemical analysis of drinking water in Kashan district. This district contained Kashan, Aran and Bidgol and Nooshabad cities and it had an estimated population more than of 400,000 in 2007. 42 Samples were collected during October 2006 to May 2007.The temperature of the water Samples is in the range 25-30°C. The water samples were analyzed for pH ,Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) , Electrical Conductivity (EC) ,Chloride (Cl ) , Sulphate (SO ) , Nitrate(NO ), Fluoride (F ) , Calcium(Ca ) , 22+ 4 3 Magnesium(Mg ) , Sodium(Na+) , Potassium(K ) , Bicarbonate(HCO ) and Total Hardness (TH) using standard 2+ + 3 techniques in laboratory. The results revealed that most of the water samples were below or out of limited; according to the WHO standards. pH ranged from 7 to 8 and all the samples were within limit (6 to 9.2) while EC of all the water samples were out of limit i.e.300 μmhos/cm. All the water samples (100%) contained F content lower than permissible limit (1 to 1.5 ppm). SO and Na of all the water samples were out of permissible limit. 4 + The NO concentration was less than permissible limit (40-50 mg/l) in 93% samples whereas 2% samples showed 3 higher concentration of NO However only 5% samples contain optimum level of nitrate.K concentration was 3 + below the optimum (20 mg/l) level in all the samples studied. Based on the findings of this study, it can be expressed that the mean density of most chemical parameters in Kashan samples drinking water is low and within the WHO standards limit, while the fluoride concentration is lower than permissible limit i.e. 1.0 mg/l in all samples.

Evaluation of groundwater quality for drinking purposes in Kashan using water quality indicators
Background and Objective: Groundwater is the primary water source for drinking and agricultural activities in arid and semi-arid regions. Rainfall, land use, geological structure, aquifer mineralogy, and duration of water contact with the environment in the basement are the main factors affecting the chemical quality of groundwater. This study aimed to determine the physicochemical properties o...
متن کاملSurvey the Nitrate Concentration in Drinking Water Distribution Systems of Kashan County, Iran
High concentration of nitrate is a prevalent problem in water resources. Untreated wastewater due to municipal, industrial and agricultural activities is the main potential source of nitrate contamination of groundwater and surface water. The maximum permissible level of nitrate concentration has been established to be 45 mg/L by WHO and US–EPA. Health problems, such as Methemoglobinemia in bab...
